Cheeky Nandos

" This is as cheeeeeeeky as it gets. Why don't you try your own, homemade, healthy version of this favourite? "

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp nandos sauce 
  • 1 wholemeal pitta
  • 1 sweet potato
  • salt 
  • pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp greek yoghurt 
  • 2 slices of halloumi 
  • 1 handful of spinach 
  1. Start by slicing the chicken across to make two thin chicken breasts.
  2. Cover in the nandos sauce and let marinade, preferably for one hour. But if you haven't got time, just leave it in for the time you are cooking.
  3. Peel the sweet potato and cutting into chunks.
  4. Boil a pan of water and place the sweet potato in, or alternatively steam for 15 mins.
  5. Place the chicken under the grill for 5 minutes on each side, or use a griddle pan.
  6. Drain the sweet potato and mash, add salt and pepper to your liking.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it and put to one side to rest.
  8. Place the halloumi under the grill or onto the griddle pan and heat until crispy and golden, turning half way.
  9. Start assembling by adding some greek yogurt into the pitta, then chicken, then spinach.
  10. Here it is, cheeky Nandos!
  11. Enjoy.
